Cosmology, Astronomy --Definition, Overview and terminology

Cosmology :-
It is a branch of astronomy that involves the origin and evolution of the universe, from the Big Bang theory concepts to nowadays and on into the future. It is the field of study that brings together to the natural sciences, particularly astronomy and physics.
According to NASA, the cosmology is " the scientific study of the large scale properties of the universe as a whole.

     Difference between cosmology and astronomy:-
Astrophysics is the study of the individual parts of the universe and on the other hand cosmology is  the study of the universe as a whole. Astronomy studies the celestial bodies and structures, planets, stars, galaxies, clusters and superclusters, etc.

Astronomy:- it is a natural science that studies celestial objects and phenomena. It uses mathematics, physiPhand Chemistry in order to explain their origin and evolution. Objects of interest include planets, Moons, stars, nebulae, galaxies, comets, etc. Relevant phenomena include supernova explosions, gamma Ray bursts, quasars, blazars, pulsars and cosmic microwave radiation. More generally, astronomy studies everything that originates outside Earth's atmosphere. cosmology is a branch of astronomy. It studies the Universe as a whole.

Big Bang theory:-:The big bang theory is the cosmological model for the observable universe from the earliest known periods through it's subsequent large scale evolution. The model describes how the universe expanded from a very high density and high temperature state, and it offers a comprehensive explanation for a broad range of phenomena, including the abundance of light elements, the cosmic microwave, large scale structure and Hubble's law ( it states that the farther away galaxies are the fastest they are moving away from Earth). If the observed conditions are extrapolated backwards in time using the known laws of physics, the prediction is that just before a period of very high density there was a singularity which is typically associated with the Big Bang. Current knowledge is the insufficient to determine if the singularity was primordial.
