A Carrier for cyclic dinucleotides :-

Carrier for Cyclic dinucleotides

Cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs) are potent activators of the innate immune sensor STING. The identification of a CDNs importer sheds new light on the regulation of extracellular CDNs.

Activation of STING elicit a signaling Cascade that culminates in the induction of interferons and various cytokinesis and thereby promotes a powerful inflammatory response. STING play a vital role in innate immunity.

Detection of Cyclic nucleotides by STING:-
Stimulator of interferon genes, also known as Transmembrane protein 173, basically known as STING. It is an essential signaling adaptor protein mediating cytosolic DNA induced innate immunity for both microbial and self DNA leakage. STING is a direct receptor for cytosolic cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs).

Cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs) :-
CDNs are well-known signaling molecules in prokaryotic cells, in which they carry out their important functions that are related to bacterial homeostasis and virulence.

Gene:- in biological science, a Gene is a sequence of nucleotides in DNA or RNA that encodes the synthesis of a Gene product, either RNA or protein. During Gene expression, the DNA is first copied into RNA.
